Executive Recruitment

Staff Benefits

As a member of LSE staff, you'll be provided with a competitive salary and generous pension scheme, as well as benefiting from excellent training and development opportunities.

However, we are acutely aware that there are other considerations important to you. With this in mind, we provide numerous other attractive benefits to help actively encourage a positive, diverse, healthy and family friendly culture in our workplace.

LSE Extras

The discount and benefits scheme for LSE employees. Further information is available here.

Childcare vouchers

The School uses Computershare to provide and administer the provision of the childcare voucher scheme. This scheme is designed to save you money on the cost of your childcare.

Further information is available on our dedicated childcare voucher webpage.

Cyclescheme

Cyclescheme is a salary-sacrifice voucher scheme that not only allows you to keep fit while travelling to work, but allows you to save up to 30% on the cost of a new bike!

Further information is available on our dedicated Cyclescheme webpage.

Eyesight test for VDU users

The School has a duty to provide an eyesight test, or cost towards an eye test, for employees who habitually use display screen equipment as a significant part of their normal working hours.

Season ticket loans

Applications may be made for a loan to cover the cost of a second class season ticket for travel between home and the School.

Purchasing an annual season ticket is generally cheaper than purchasing monthly or weekly tickets, and the loan makes the cost of an annual ticket more manageable by allowing repayment over 12 monthly instalments.

Further information is available on our season ticket loans webpage.

LSE gym membership

The School knows how important it is to stay fit and healthy.  Having a gym right here on campus is a huge benefit.  In order to encourage more staff to join the LSE Student Union Gym, staff can now request for a loan to pay for annual membership.  Paying for annual membership works out cheaper than paying monthly.

For information about the LSE Students' Union Gym please click on our dedicated gym membership page.

Give as you earn

The Give As You Earn (GAYE) scheme is a tax efficient way of giving to a registered charity of your choice via the Charities Aid Foundation.

You can make donations to any charitable or voluntary organisation ranging from national charities to local community groups.

Fee remission

Staff may claim remission of fees in respect of part-time degree and diploma programmes taken at the School.

Senior common room

As a member of staff, you are invited to become a member of the Senior Common Room, which plays a central role in the academic and social life of the School.
